SCHOOL OF NURSING
HISTORY & OVERVIEW :
The C.S.I. Mission General Hospital is a 114 years old
hospital run by the Church of South India, Trichy-Tanjore
Diocese. The Medical work began on 1st Feb 1887 by the
Methodist Missionaries as a small dispensary with two rooms.
A women’s dispensary was started in Trichy in 1902 which had to be
closed and restarted in 1910.
We have come a long way from humble beginning to this
modern set up with 100 beds with a well equipped laboratory,
ultrasound scanning, operation theatres, endoscopy room, ICU,
Cardiac Cath-Lab and a full fledged Cardiac unit. From a Maternity
Hospital to a General Hospital (2002) to a speciality hospital (2008)
which also serves as an important referral hospital in Trichy doing
yeoman service to the community at affordable cost. This healing
ministry is done with the love of Christ to alleviate the sufferings of
patients and to promote good health.
