I was hoping that this movie would add something new to the story of the franchise, but it was just an average thriller. The director and the studio got it wrong when fan questions about Prometheus and Covenant came up, resulting in a confusing combination of all 6 films, with a stolen John Carpenter feel at the end. Enjoyable scenes in the film, the main character is likable but despite all efforts, Romulus remains an odd twist in the alien universe.
Of course for the Alien fan it’s a must-have, even if it’s just a one-off movie
Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping a dystopia, or making the world a better place, science fiction is all about these women.
