The CSI Mission General Hospital is an institution dedicated to holistic healing of the body and minds of its patients through committed and tireless service rendered in the spirit of our Lord Jesus.

Our History
C.S.I. Mission General Hospital was started in 1910 by Methodist missionaries as a women’s dispensary, driven by love and concern for the poor. Over the past 110 years, the Lord God has faithfully led us to our current status as a multi-speciality hospital.
In 1947, the hospital became part of the legacy left by the Methodist missionaries when the Church of South India was formed.
Dr. (Mrs.) S. Stephen, Medical Superintendent (1953-1976), significantly improved the building and other facilities, stabilizing women and children’s care.
Under Dr. K. Jeremiah (1977-2003) and Dr. Mrs. Jeremiah (1977-2004), the hospital expanded to a general hospital treating men, women, and children.
Dr. Kingsly Jebakumar (1984-1987) and Dr. Suresh Chelliah (1992-1997) established noteworthy pediatric services, while Dr. J.V. Peter (1994-1997) upgraded the medical unit and founded a good Intensive Care Unit.
Dr. Samson Daniel (1985-2013) established a high-quality Ortho and Traumatology center.
Recent advancements include an upgraded intensive care unit with dialysis and a fully equipped modern ICU under Dr. Arun Immanuel (2018-till date).

Presently, the hospital has a total of 100 beds, including:
22 private rooms (7 air-conditioned)
A fully equipped intensive care unit with 10 beds
Casualty with 18 beds
Children’s ward with 14 beds and nursery with 12 beds
Separate general wards for men and women

Consultants on call for emergency and in-patient care in Urology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Vascular Surgery.
Six operation theatres with advanced equipment for high-quality interventional cardiology procedures.
A well-equipped Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy department.

Govt. approved center for family planning surgery; awarded best performance in Tamil Nadu (1998-1999).
Best Hospital for Service (2009) by Vishwaseva Telemedia, Tamilan Television, and Lions Club of Chennai.
