Tale
At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan shook himself against the folk music wall, turned on the electronics, and proclaimed rock as the voice of a generation, defining one of the most transformative moments in 20th-century music. According to an October 2020 Collider interview with cinematographer Phaedon Papamichael, the Bob Dylan film project was on the verge of being delayed due to the newly announced COVID precautions studios were taking. And because of this, Papamichael and director James Mangold are moving on to other projects. “I don’t think it’s dead,” Papamichael said of the Chalamet-directed biopic, “but it’s hard to do in the age of COVID because it’s all in small clubs with a lot of extras in historical costumes, so you have a lot of hair and makeup. So, our next project is Indiana Jones 5 (2022). Mangold is doing it.”
